Guarantee

Collision Repair Guarantee

This guarantee is given by CRA Guarantee Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Collision Repair Association) (We or us), to the owner of the vehicle that has been repaired (You or Your) by an authorised repairer listed as a member of the scheme on our website (Authorised Repairer).

The guarantee is provided at no additional cost to you.

During the guarantee period, subject to the terms and exclusions set out below, we guarantee your authorised repairer’s obligations to provide quality workmanship, parts and materials in your repair, provided the repairer was an Authorised Repairer.

What does this mean?

If during the guarantee period, any defect in workmanship, parts or materials arises that is the responsibility of the authorised repairer and you have unsuccessfully tried to get your authorised repairer and insurer (where applicable) to fix the defect, we will arrange for the defect to be fixed free of charge.

We can choose whether we give your authorised repairer another opportunity to fix the defect or go to another repairer of our choice.

The extent of our guarantee is as set out in this document. It does not extend to indirect or consequential loss.

The guarantee period starts when the repairs are finished and ends when you are no longer the registered owner of the vehicle. The guarantee cannot be assigned or otherwise transferred.

Are there any exclusions?

The guarantee does not apply to rust repairs. We will not repair defects caused by unreasonable use, maintenance or care of the vehicle or if the repair is altered, adjusted or tampered with by any person not approved by the authorised repairer or us.

Repairs to vintage cars, race cars or classic cars, and commercial vehicles with specialised use are not within this guarantee unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.

Your other rights

Nothing in this guarantee is intended to limit your rights against your authorised repairer under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any guarantees given by your authorised repairer.

How do I know if my repairer is covered by the guarantee scheme?

Members of the scheme are required to prominently display a certificate issued and signed by us each year. Members of the scheme are also listed on our website.
